I somehow deleted my entire distro list. It's gone. Vamanos. Like, it was there, then I hit the back button, and it's totally gone. I mean, I still have the records and all, but I will have to find the time and energy to type it up again. Blogger is, as one of my students put it, "buggin".
Civilization LP tests are in, sounds good from what I'm told. They did 'em on color, how swell is that? Not even the same color as the regular vinyl. United is also "buggin". Once there is artwork for the covers, then covers will be made, then records will be available, and then records will be sold.
Also, this morning I saw a goat waltzing down the main street in my town, totally unsupervised. Granted, I live in the middle of the woods and livestock is kind of a staple, but a thing like that still catches you off guard a bit. The goat was equally "buggin", I'm sure.

DISTRO INFERNO!!
I can't figure out how to "bump" a blog posting, so to speak, so please check out this link....I will add new records when I have time!
http://bringbackthemagic.blogspot.com/2007/10/bring-back-magics-distro-inferno.html
Should be up-to-date, minus the missing "new" stuff that I've gotten in trade recently!
Shabba!

New Uke of Spaces Corners LP out!
Wow, I always forget this exists...
anyway, the new Uke of Spaces Corners LP titled "Flowers in the Night" is out and available now! It's just as good as everything else they've done, but I might like it best so far- kind of more traditionally folksy and at the same time more "out there". Gorgeous cover art, too!
As always, the LP is $7 in person/with anything else from the distro, or $8ppd...unless you use Paypal, then we need to talk first!
Up next: Civilization 12" - crushingly heavy sludgey/stonery stuff, but with fast parts mixed in. Very, exceptionally even, good...maybe like Black Dove or something? Should be done sooner than later...once covers are prettied up!
OH, and before I forget--- new address:
Ross Martin
215 Elvira St.
Lake Helen, FL 32744
Email's still the same, though, so there's no excuse not send me a letter now and again!

Justin C. Rhody/Andrew Restrepo and the Older Siblings 7" OUT NOW!
So yeah, the 7" is done and now in my hot little hands...order it, go nuts!!
Also of exciting news is that the next release, BBtM#6, is coming up in the next few months...that being a new Uke of Spaces Corners LP!! Dan's got a CD version of it out already, so maybe you've heard it. It came out great.
And hopefully there will be a Ghost Man/Free Man demo tape done sooner than later...that's me and my friend Kretzer playing acoustic folksy songs. It should be pretty a'ight...got the music recorded, working on some vocals, maybe new songs. One day we'll play some shows.

Justin Rhody/Andrew Restrepo 7"!
So in a couple weeks, I'll have the Justin Rhody/Andrew Restrepo split 7" available...I suppose you can order them now if you want, but you'll just have to wait for them to be done. Justin's side is 6 or so short songs played with acoustic guitars, toys, and sometimes just his voice. Some of my favorite lo-fi songs. Andrew's side is 2 acoustic songs that are more like you might expect acoustic songs to sound like. So good. I just remembered that you can listen to the entire record here:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=813947
So yeah, they're $2 with an order/in person or $3.50 post-paid. Hopefully that's fair. Distro is mostly up-to-date...still need to add some new label trades. But everything listed is available. It's cheap, so...you know?
SOMEONE BUY THAT TORCHE LP...I'M UNDERSELLING THE LABEL BY LIKE 60%.

Alligator "Prehistoric Reptilians" LP is OUT NOW.
Yo, yeah so the Alligator "Prehistoric Reptilians" LP is done and out now. They're this really great band from St. Augustine that kind of does this noisy kind of punk that reminds me of a yelly version of the Big Boys less dancey, more punk songs. It's dudes from Environmental Youth Crunch, Tubers, Solid Pony, the Winslows, and like a ton of other bands.....actually, yeah, it sounds like if you took different aspects of all those bands and smashed them together in one band. Seriously, it's real good.
Killer screened covers, stenciled labels, and each LP comes with a real CD (not a CD-r, I mean). Really minimal packaging wise, but I think it works better that way. As always, the LP will be $7 in person/with other stuff or $8 ppd. You can get the cd by itself, too, if you'd prefer...it's like a sliding scale thing, so anywhere from $2-$5 ppd would be generous. Whatever you can afford is great by me.
Alright, I think that covers everything....touch it, feel it, green hell. Distro is up-to-date as well.

Well, dang it's been awhile!
I guess I haven't had a whole lot of news to mention, so hence the lack of updates. But alas, the label and distro are still kicking, slowly and surely.
First off- the Cowboys Became Folk Heroes collection lp is done and is in my hands. They were a great screamy emo band from a handful of years ago in Central Florida. Always were great to watch, and it was always a bummer that they never properly released anything. So some friends and I put all 6 of their songs on a 12". They have a myspace still up at www.myspace.com/cowboysbecamefolkheroes if you'd like to hear 2/3 of the songs.
If you want an lp, they're $8 ppd from me or $7 with anything else or in person. Just email me if you'd like one.
Second- still have some Environmental Youth Crunch lps around. Same deal, $8 ppd, or $7 with anything else. Pick up some distro stuff while you're at it!
Thirdly- just approved test presses for the Alligator lp...it's really awesome. Covers are being screened, inserts being made...hopefully will be done by the end of the month. They're kind of noisy punky stuff, members of EYC, Tubers, Solid Pony, the South, etc etc. Check them out, everyone has a myspace these days: www.myspace.cpm/alligatorsucks . Oh and the lps are gonna have cds with 'em for those without analog technology, plus Jacob and Jeff are putting out a tape version on their new People's Republic of Rock n' Roll label. Pretty right-on label there.
Oops, forgot to mention that there's also going to be a separate REAL cd version, split equally between BBtM and PR^3. It'll be cool and wicked cheap.
Fourthly- new stuff in the distro, and more forthcoming. Some good stuff, for real.
Fifth on the list- I just finished my library degree and I'm pretty stoked on it right now! Feels weird to go to school pretty regularly for like 20 years and now I never have to go again if I choose.
OH! And if any labels want to trade, please by all means write me, I'm always up for it. Thanks!
3-2-1-GO!!
